Avverbi di frequenza
Gli avverbi di frequenza sono: Always= sempre Often= spesso Usually= di solito Sometimes= qualche volta Hardly ever= quasi mai never= mai
Normalmente gli avverbi di frequenza si mettono fra il soggetto e il verbo,ma con il verbo be e i verbi modali seguono il verbo. I often go to school by bus Spesso vado a scuola in autobus

A differenza dell'italiano,in inglese non si puo avere la doppia negazione,quindi never è sempre inserito in ua frase con il verbo alla forma affermativa. I never go out. Non esco mai.
How often? "ogni quanto?" si usa per chiedere con che frequenza si compie un'azione. How often do you do the washing-up? Ogni quanto lavi i piatti?

Aggettivi terminativi in -ING e -ED
Vi sono molte coppie di aggettivi che si formano da verbi aggiungendo –ing e –ed.
- Gli aggettivi in –ing sono di fatto dei participi presenti e descrivono come è qualcosa o qualcuno
- Gli aggettivi che terminano in –ed sono di fatto dei participi passati e descrivono come qualcuno si sente.

First conditional Frase principale (Es: Io ti chiamo) = Frase secondaria (Es: Se verrò) Time causes: * If = se * As soon as = non appena * Until = fino a * When = quando * After = dopo * Before = prima * While = mentre Frase principale si costruisce con il verbo al futuro e la frase secondaria con il verbo al presente: If I study hard, I will pass the exam; When I got home, I wil call you. Esprime una possibile condizione o un probabile risultato che si potrà avere in futuro Forma interrogativa (frase principale): pronome interrogativo + futuro + soggetto: What will you do if I call you? Oppure: Where will she be, when I got home?
Agree
I am not agree with you. Are you agree? Il verbo to be agree non esiste, essere d’accordo si traduce con to agree, ciò nonostante agree che si comporta come un verbo qualsiasi.
Esempi 1. Non sono d’accordo con te, I don’t agree with you. 2. Sono sicuro che sarai d’accordo, I am sure you will agree. 3. Sei d’accordo? Do you agree?

Utilizzo dei verbi in inglese
1. PRESENT CONTINOUS usiamo questo tempo quando indichiamo lo svolgimento di un azione nel presente "You are writing" "Are you writing?" "I am not writing"
2. SIMPLE PRESENT usiamo il “simple present” per indicare un azione abituale "He lives in Milan" "Does he live in Milan?" "He does not live in Milan"
3. PAST CONTINOUS Si usa in due casi distinti: 1. Per indicare un'azione che si stava svolgendo in un esatto momento. "We were having dinner at 7 o'clock" "Were we having dinner at 7 o'clock?" "We were not having dinner at 7 o'clock" 2. Per indicare un'azione che si stava svolgendo quando se ne verificò un'altra. "I was reading when the phone rang" "Was I reading when the phone rang?" "I was not reading when the phone rang"
4. SIMPLE PAST indica un azione conclusa nel passato "We went to sleep early last night" "Did we go to sleep early last night?" "We didn't go to sleep early last night"
5. PRESENT PERFECT Si usa in tre casi distinti: 1. Azione conclusa ma senza alcuna indicazione temporale. "I've been to London twice" "Have I been to London twice?" "I have not been to London twice" 2. Azione avvenuta in un tempo non concluso. "We have worked hard today" "Have we worked hard today?" "We haven't worked hard today" 3. Azione non ancora conclusa. "I have known him for three years" "Have I known him for three years?" "I haven't known him for three years"
6. PRESENT PERFECT CONTINOUS si usa quando bisogna dare la continueita’ dell’azioen nel passato "You have been reading all morning" "Have you been reading all morning" "You haven't been reading all morning"
8. PAST PERFECT Indica un'azione avvenuta nel passato prima di un'altra, anch'essa passata. "They had already left when we got there" "Had they already left when we got there" "They hadn't already left when we got there"
9. FUTURE Si usa in tre casi distinti: 1. Certezza assoluta di fare qualcosa. "I'm leaving tomorrow" "Am I leaving tomorrow?" "I'm not leaving tomorrow" 2. Intenzione di fare qualcosa. "I am going to swim" "Am I going to swim?" "I'm not going to swim" 3. Azione inevitabile, non necessita della volontà di qualcuno. "The Sun will rise tomorrow morning" "Will the Sun rise tomorrow morning?" "The Sun won't rise tomorrow morning"

a differenza di i/lo/la/i/gli/le the si usa solo quando il nome indica qualcosa di specifico oppure qualcosa che l'interlocutore conosce gia. non si usa the quando il nome indica una categoria generale.
